Description
As a Certified Montessori Educator, I built a brick-and-mortar international school in Japan during the decade I lived there. I staffed my school with a variety of professionals from around the world, trained teachers in the Montessori Method, and ran my school in both my native English and Japanese, my third language at the time.
I have since sold the school, completed a cooking school course in Italy, and taken my expertise online to create this virtual cooking school here at Our Kitchen Classroom. Under this umbrella, I have been supporting my family’s nomadic Worldschooling adventures by writing about the intersections between travel, food, and education; teaching virtual & in-person cooking lessons; and providing customized Culinary & Cultural Tours in select global cities.
I draw upon my own personal experiences, as well as the numerous families with whom I have worked over the years, to provide coaching and guidance for parents wishing to embark upon a new-to-them Worldschooling experience. This can include, but is not limited to the following:
— Transitioning from public/private traditional school to homeschooling, roadschooling, unschooling, and/or Worldschooling;
— Transitioning from public/private traditional school in your passport country to another country;
— Transitioning from family life in your passport country to another country with the same community language;
— Transitioning from family life in your passport country to another country with a different community language;
— Educating your child in another country with a different community language than your family language(s);
— Finding/creating community while vacationing/traveling as a family;
— Building location-independent income to support your family’s Worldschooling journey.
I believe that life is an adventure that’s meant to be lived out loud! Let your new adventure begin today!!!
